| Preanalytics/Notes: | The "Ganglioside Profile" is a panel of six antibodies that are analyzed together and can only be requested as a panel (2 ml serum required). Ganglioside GM1 (IgG, IgM) antibodies can also be requested individually as a stand alone test (1 ml serum required). Please note: If antibodies against myelin-associated glycoprotein (MAG) are detected, further tests for corresponding IgM antibodies (using ELISA with human myelin-specific antigens) will be automatically performed and billed. |
