| Preanalytics/Notes: | Do not use tubes with separating gel - active substance absorption possible. Freeze serum, send frozen. Blood should be taken immediately before the next administration (minimum pre-dose concentration) or 30-60 min after the end of an infusion or 1 h after i.m. administration (peak concentration). In patients treated with high doses of biotin (> 5 mg/day), samples should be taken at least 8 h after administration, as high doses of biotin can interfere with the determination of tobramycin.
