| Set-up: | Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat Sun |
| Duration: | 1 day |
| Indication/Significance: |
|
| Interpretation: |
The electropherogram more… The electropherogram offers no final diagnosis. As various diseases lead to a quantitative or qualitative alteration of the concentrations of the individual fractions in the electrophoresis, partially typical patterns and profiles of dysproteinemias develop. The capillary zone electrophoresis leads to a double peak in beta globulin fractions. However, both fractions are reported as one single beta globulin fraction. |
| Further tests: | Quantitative determination of individual protein fractions in the serum, e.g. albumin, alpha-1-glycoprotein, alpha-1-antitrypsin, alpha-2-macroglobulin, haptoglobin, transferrin, beta-lipoprotein, complement as well as the immunoglobulins IgA, IgA and IgM |
