Preanalytics/Notes:	To check a regular luteal function after ovulation, a repeated determination of progesterone may be appropriate in the 2nd phase of the menstrual cycle in combination with oestradiol, e.g. ideally 5 - 8 days after ovulation. In patients receiving therapy with high biotin doses (i.e. > 5 mg/day) no sample should be taken until at least 8 hours after the last biotin administration, as high dosis biotin application might disturbe the assay.
