Interpretation:	PCT value: < 0.06 more… PCT value: < 0.06 ng/ml: No indication of a bacterial infection. below 0.5 ng/ml: The result indicates a low risk for the development of a severe systemic infection. A local bacterial infection is possible. 0.5 - 2 ng/ml: Moderate risk for the development of a severe systemic infection (severe sepsis). 2 - 10 ng/ml: High risk for the development of a severe systemic infection (severe sepsis). > 10 ng/ml: Severe systemic inflammatory reaction with the high possibility of severe sepsis or of septic shock. close
