Indication/Significance:	Screening in the case of suspected ANCA-associated vasculitis (Wegener's granulomatosis, microscopic polyangiitis) Differential diagnostics of glomerulonephritides Differential diagnostics of acute renal failure, pulmonary bleeding, and pulmonary-renal syndrome Suspected drug-induced vasculitis Screening in the case of suspected chronic inflammatory bowel diseases (e.g. ulcerative colitis) Therapy monitoring in the case of Wegener's granulomatosis
Interpretation:	Detectable in the cases more… Detectable in the cases of: Microscopic polyangiitis Idiopathic glomerulonephritis (up to 65 %) Goodpasture's syndrome Classical panarteriitis nodosa (up to 15 %) pANCA also occur in some non-vasculitic diseases, such as chronic inflammatory bowel diseases and autoimmune hepatitis. An atypical ANCA is found in chronic inflammatory bowel diseases or with primary sclerosing cholangitis. The relevant target antigens have not been characterised yet. close
