Subtype 2 antibodies are antibodies against the target antigen "pyruvate dehydrogenase (PDH)".

In the case of subtype 2, antibodies against pyruvate dehydrogenase, the main antigen of AMA, are detected. Such increased antibody concentrations can occur prior to clinical symptoms.
