Preanalytics/Notes:	The sample must not be stored at 4°C! According to Brahms, the CgA molecule folds at 4°C and thus covers a point where an antibody normally docks, this folding is irreversible and leads to false results (current test version). As chromogranin A only has a limited stability, sending in a frozen serum sample is recommended. Let whole blood coagulate after sampling, centrifuge, transfer supernatant serum into a new tube, label the tube accordingly, freeze and dispatch frozen. Please note: results obtained using different methods and/or test manufacturers cannot be compared with one another. The course of tumor markers should always be assessed by the same test. Discontinue proton pump inhibitors at least 2 weeks before CgA determination
