Preanalytics/Notes:	Blood sampling in recumbent position (e.g. patients confined to bed) or blood sampling in patients (sitting upright) in the morning between 8 and 10 o' clock after resting for 15 minutes in a seated position. Before that, the patient should have been in an upright posture for at least 2 hours (sitting, standing or walking). Patients should stop taking diuretics and antihypertensive agents 8 days beforehand, if possible. If you wish to order Aldosteron as a separate test, please send a seperate sample and separate order. If Renin is requested in the same order, Aldosterone will automatically be performed in EDTA plasma instead and the ARR will be calculated.
