USA: approx. 3% (Women), 1,7% Men); 13-35% in STD clinics Germany: 1.7% for symptomatic, 0.2% for asymptomatic patients Bioscientia, mixed collectives: 0.5-1%. Speciality: Prevalence increases with progressing age. Transmission: Sexual, towels, sauna. Symptoms: see indication. Infection often asymptomatic (particularly men).
