Indication/Significance:	Women: Urethritis, vaginitis, vaginal discharge, vulvitis. Men: Urethritis (prostatitis, epididymitis).
Interpretation:	Pathogen : Flagellate more… Pathogen: Flagellate (Protozoon) Prevalence: Most common sexual transmitted, non viral infection (STI). USA: approx. 3% (Women), 1,7% Men); 13-35% in STD clinics Germany: 1.7% for symptomatic, 0.2% for asymptomatic patients Bioscientia, mixed collectives: 0.5-1%. Speciality: Prevalence increases with progressing age Transmission: Sexual, towels, sauna Symptoms: see indication. Infection often asymptomatic (particularly men). Incubation period: 5-28 days, however months and years also possible. Therapy: Nitroimidazole. Calculated STI therapy ineffective.
